Questa interessante raccolta di 12 pagine (per un totale di 24 facciate), estratte dall’edizione del 1614 della Cosmography Universalis di Sebastian Münster, presenta numerosi ritratti xilografici dei primi sovrani di Francia, incorniciati in eleganti ovali e accompagnati da annotazioni storiche in lingua tedesca.
Ogni ritratto è stato eseguito con grande attenzione ai tratti somatici e agli elementi simbolici dell’epoca, offrendo una panoramica visiva dei regnanti, dei loro attributi e della cronologia reale.
