Raffinata litografia realizzata da Francesco Bartolozzi, uno dei più celebri incisori del XVIII secolo, noto per le sue incisioni in stile “stipple” e per aver lavorato alla corte britannica come incisore storico di Re Giorgio III.
L’opera è tratta da un disegno di Hans Holbein, maestro del ritratto rinascimentale, e raffigura un Lord Cancelliere dell’epoca, con un’impostazione solenne ed elegante, tipica dello stile ritrattistico di Holbein.
Questa stampa è un esempio straordinario della maestria tecnica di Bartolozzi e della sua capacità di rendere con estrema finezza i dettagli dell’incisione, come le espressioni facciali e le ricche vesti dei soggetti ritratti.
