- Intorno a lui si percepisce una forte atmosfera di passione, sofferenza e brutalità.
- La Croce di Gesù, elevata sopra tutte, trionfa sul peccato, rappresentando il compimento delle scritture.
Questa incisione, di maestro ignoto, è una copia della xilografia originale di Dürer.
