4 Incisioni tratte dall’opera “Usi e costumi di Napoli” di Francesco de Bourcard
150,00 €Incisioni tratte dall’opera “Usi e costumi di Napoli e contorni descritti e dipinti” di Francesco de Bourcard, pubblicata tra il 1853 e il 1858. Autore: I disegni sono stati realizzati dall’artista Teodoro Duclere (1812-1869), famoso pitore della scuola di Posillipo.
La raccolta è una preziosa testimonianza della vita quotidiana, delle tradizioni e dei mestieri popolari della Napoli dell’Ottocento.Le illustrazioni che vedi sono incisioni (all’acquaforte o bulino) basate sui disegni di importanti artisti dell’epoca.
Queste quattro splendide stampe appartengono alla celeberrima opera ottocentesca “Usi e costumi di Napoli e contorni descritti e dipinti”, pubblicata a Napoli tra il 1853 e il 1858 dall’editore svizzero-napoletano Francesco de Bourcard.
I disegni originali sono tutti opera del pittore della Scuola di Posillipo Teodoro Duclère (1812–1869), mentre le incisioni su lastra (all’acquaforte e bulino) furono affidate a maestri dell’epoca come Francesco Di Bartolo e rifinite a mano con coloritura coeva all’acquerello.

1. Il Paludano (In alto a sinistra) Soggetto: Rappresenta un contadino o venditore proveniente dalle zone palustri e fertili della piana campana (la cosiddetta regione dei rami o delle paludi, a est di Napoli). Descrizione: La scena mostra una donna di spalle avvolta in un tipico scialle rosso e seduta su un asino carico di verdure ed erbe da vendere nei mercati cittadini. È affiancata da un uomo con cappello di paglia che cammina a piedi nudi e reca una frusta o un bastone. Autori: Disegnato da Teodoro Duclère e inciso da Francesco Di Bartolo.
2. Il Castagnaro (In alto a destra) Soggetto: Uno dei mestieri ambulanti più diffusi della Napoli borbonica e post-unitaria, ovvero il venditore di castagne ridenti (allesse o caldarroste). Descrizione: L’ambulante è ritratto mentre armeggia sopra un grande cesto pieno di foglie e castagne appoggiato su uno sgabello verde. Accanto a lui si nota la tipica grande pentola o braciere fumante e un piccolo banchetto con una lanterna, utilizzato per vendere la mercanzia anche durante le ore serali nei vicoli della città. Autori: Disegnato da Teodoro Duclère e inciso da Francesco Di Bartolo.
3. Fanciulla di Baia (In basso a sinistra) Soggetto: Uno studio di costume incentrato sulle donne dei Campi Flegrei, specificamente della località costiera e archeologica di Baia. Descrizione: La fanciulla indossa un costume tradizionale tipico dell’area a nord di Napoli, con una gonna a balze e un grembiule. Cammina a piedi scalzi sul lastricato in pietra lavica mentre tiene in mano un mazzetto di fiori e un piccolo vassoio o cestino, offrendo un’immagine bucolica e idealizzata ma storicamente accurata delle popolane flegree. Autori: Disegnato da Teodoro Duclère e inciso da J. Plantinger o Oruvasfan.
4. La Friggitrice di Zeppole (In basso a destra) Soggetto: Iconico ritratto della classica venditrice di strada napoletana addetta alla frittura delle zeppole, cibo da strada amatissimo dal popolo. Descrizione: La donna è in piedi dietro al suo banchetto coperto da una tovaglia bianca, sul quale sono impilate le zeppole pronte. Con la mano sinistra aziona una schiumarola all’interno di una grande padella colma d’olio poggiata su un braciere a legna alimentato da fascine posizionate a terra. In alto a destra è visibile la numerazione della tavola (“16”).Autori: Disegnato da Teodoro Duclère e inciso da Francesco Di Bartolo.
