Work in 8 volumes in 4° format (Turin, Giuseppe Pomba, 1834-1838), first Italian edition enriched with additions and corrections. This important work represents one of the most complete descriptions of 19th century Italy, combining historical, artistic and customs information.
Of particular note is the iconographic apparatus, which includes 329 plates in excellent condition, made on the basis of works by illustrious artists such as Haudebourt-Lescot, Horace Vernet, Granet, Isabey, Ciceri, Pinelli, and many others. Despite slight peeling on the bindings, the copy is complete and preserved in good general condition.
