Rosa Govona è una figura storica significativa, nota per il suo animo generoso. Nata a Mondovì nel 1716 e morta a Torino nel 1776, nel 1742 aprì la sua casa per accogliere ragazze orfane e di famiglie povere, istruendole al lavoro e avviandole alla fede cristiana.
Con l’aiuto di Carlo Emanuele III, fondò nel 1755 un importante istituto a Torino, dando vita a una comunità di ragazze chiamate “rosine”, che vivevano liberamente senza vincoli religiosi.
